PROGRESS, is the new buzzword. What have you been experiencing
lately? Are you out of a job, are you homeless living in the street, are you
broke, are you in debt, or are you tired of living and thinking of committing
suicide? Whatever condition you are in right now, there is one word, and that
word is PROGRESS.
You are making progress my friend. No, no, no …’you don’t
understand what I am going through’ you may mutter. One thing I do know is
that, you have left a particular phase of being in a job to being jobless! That
is progress my friend. Progress happens when you make a shift. You have made a
shift from being buoyant to being bankrupt. All these are progressive stages
taking you from one level of experience to a higher level of adventure, in
which you may not experience if you are to still be in your comfort zone.
The Universe wants you to know something about
yourself. For example, Leslie Calvin Brown, the renowned motivational speaker in
the world, before he started out speaking to people was fired twice from his
disc jockey job. At first, he thought that his mic had been taken from him
and that, that was what he was. He never knew that God had something special
that he wanted him to know about himself.
There are quite a number of things that you don’t know about yourself,
that only the uncomfortable shifts of life will reveal to you.
Leslie Calvin
Brown, in his joblessness, ran for election in the Ohio House of Representatives with
less than $700 dollars and won. That wasn’t all, he went further afield to
training people on how to speak effectively, and pursued his dream to being one of the world’s renowned motivational speaker of all time. All these were
phases of growth pushing him from a lower level operation to a higher level of
performance.
So, you being jobless; you being homeless; you being broke,
and you being in debt, are all phases organized by the Universe to challenge
and expand you. You should embrace it, and ask yourself what God wants you to
know about yourself, and where He wants to take you to. Challenges of life aren’t
meant to break you but, they are there to reveal you to yourself.
Before you start complaining and mourning over your present
condition, give thanks to God for an opportunity created to make PROGRESSSSSS into a higher
level of adventure. Every time you are faced with a difficult challenge, show
your gratitude for the storms, for that is where your growth is.
LESSON No. 3: Life is a series of progress and failure is
part of it.
Give thanks in the midst of your challenges.
AFFIRMATION: I give you thanks Oh God for I am growing
through this , and becoming better through this experience.
